Fix common custom emoji problems

Check permissions, transparency and the actual display size before changing the image repeatedly.

There is no upload button

Custom emoji permissions depend on the workspace. Ask an administrator whether your role can add them. This site supplies an image file; it cannot override Slack or another messaging platform’s permissions.

The icon is difficult to see

Compare a different icon variant on the message background. Fine details can disappear at emoji size, and a logo that looks sharp in a large preview may need a simpler variant for chat. Preserve the transparent background when saving the PNG.

It works in one platform but not another

Slack, Discord, Teams and Google Chat have different upload interfaces and capabilities. Downloading a PNG is not proof that every account can install it everywhere. Check the destination’s current accepted formats, permissions and limits before preparing a large collection.
