Add a technology icon as a Slack emoji

Download a transparent icon, choose a meaningful name and upload it using Slack’s workspace controls.

Prepare the asset and name

Search this site for the technology and compare the available Light, Dark and Grayscale versions. Download its PNG, then copy or adapt the suggested emoji name. Use a name your teammates can remember, such as react or team-react, and check whether it is already in use.

Upload in your workspace

Open Slack’s emoji picker and use Add Emoji when that option is available. Upload the PNG and enter the chosen name. Workspace settings can restrict who may add emoji, so contact an administrator if the upload option is missing. Follow Slack’s current instructions when its interface differs.

Test in a message

Post the emoji in an appropriate test conversation and check it at normal message size. Preview it in both themes if your team uses them. Downloading an icon here does not install it in Slack automatically.
